These drawings were found in an old autograph book bought for 20p in a charity shop in Middlesex in 2006. These are the earliest known Watkins drawings. Signed and dated by Dudley Watkins age 11, 1918.

As a related item, the following drawings were found in an autograph book reportedly belonging to someone who worked with Watkins during his time at Boots Pure Drug Company, Nottingham. Signed and dated Dudley Watkins in 1924 when he was 16. The drawing on the right is by his younger sister Dorothy Eva Watkins..
