There are a lot of collectable items available. Items that have Oor Wullie or Broons references such as calendars, badges, figures, T-shirts, mugs, key-rings etc. etc. Some are legitimate D.C. Thomson items, some are legitimately licensed by D.C. Thomson and many are produced by individuals hoping to service a demand for these items. D.C. Thomson themselves have allowed the characters' family appeal to be used in charity and public spirited campaigns.
